Who am I, and why do I have a blog about cars?

I'm a pretty classic "nerd," in that I'm an engineer who plays way too many video games and doesn't mind playing Dungeons and Dragons. I'm, from first impressions, probably the last person who should be talking about cars - and that'd probably be a correct assumption to make. However, I have owned some nice (and some not-so-nice) vehicles in the past, which have allowed me to experience some of the ups and downs of car ownership.

For the last few years, I've been working as a Security Engineer in the Bay Area, which has allowed me to end up in my mid-twenties with a little bit of extra spending money, so one afternoon on a spur-of-the-moment decision, I went to a deaalership and drove home with a Lotus Evora - the nicest, most impractical car I've ever owned - and I love it. I'm now hooked, and learning as much as I can, and I want to document the journey from "complete ignorance" to "daily driving an 'exotic'" car.

What sort of stuff will I be posting?

I'll probably be posting a mix of content - random stories from my past, discussions on some of the vehicles I own and the quirks of their ownership, and documenting some of the more stand-out experiences I have as a direct result of starting this journey. My ultimate goal is to hopefully connect with someone else who was in the same place I am/was, and pull back the curtain of owning less practical, but more fun vehicles.
